From TallMike Productions - The National acts will continue to come your way via TMP, but I am going to move them around, this will result in some lower prices.

Howard and the White Boys are coming back too and they are ready to " Rocco "........................., this will be at Mario's on 60th and Burnham on May 27th, this will be another great show and this time there will be room for everyone..................

I am working on some other shows and still need your input, the whole point of this operation is to bring who you want to see to Milwaukee, everyone wants to come and now with the bigger venues, we can work on the prices, so let me know who you want next..............

My website is still under construction and will be finished in the near future, I have hired a new web manager and he is in the process of hooking us up.
http://www.tallmikeproductions.com/

Some more news....................... I am going to start working on some open jams, everyone knows I really think the hosts should rotate to bring variety and now I will be working with some bars to rotate the hosts. This means you, the listener, needs to come out listen and buy an occasional drink to support the open jams. Most of you remember the days when you never knew who would show up at the jam, we had some good music and I will be trying to bring this back.

Mario's will have an open jam every Wednesday, it will vary from rock and roll to blues to who knows what, it starts at 9pm and runs till 12 pm, drink specials and a Biker Blues Jam Run. Another note about this particular jam, there will be the Elite Entertainment girls there................
OH YEAH..........

Kokopelli's will be starting up their Sunday night Jam and the host band will be rotating, this jam will also be part of the Biker Blues Jam Run. 9pm till 1am and there will be some drink specials tba.

Wild Breed Saloon another great bar and another great jam, Sunday afternoons 3 till 7pm, different hosts, different music, wild people and part of the Biker Blues Jam Run.

Yes its been a while since I updated here but with family from both sides of the US and a big white wedding it's been pretty crazy here. Found a new Blues Festival 1st Annual Paramount Blues Festival courtesy of the New Grafton Blues Association which is dedicated to Paramount Records and all the blues pioneers that recorded in Grafton, WI. The festival will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Lime Kiln Park.

Win a Blues Cruise here: from the nice folks at Blues Festival Guide.

"New Orleans Music in Exile" to Premiere Friday, May 19, 2006 on Starz InBlack. This is a feature- length original documentary

I updated the schedule for the Stratatones for May and June.

The Chicago Blues Festival Lineup has been announced. Unfortunately I have been sick so there has only been staying home and listening to CD's for me. Still working on my EBay store and a blog on how to do it. I added some miniature watercolors and faux fur coats this week, along with some new spring items. Please check it out!

This has been a maintenance update so some links are fixed, added photos and my store to the main page.

Sadly enough Willie Kent lost his battle with cancer on Thursday. My experience with Willie Kent goes way back to a weekend at the Chicago Blues Festival where we ended up on a bus tour to the south side of Chicago. We saw Wille perform with two fabulous singers Bonnie Lee and Liz Mandeville Greeson .

For more on Willie and his life, see the Blues Foundation site article or his website. Funeral services for Willie Kent will be held on Friday, March 10th at the Bread of Life Baptist Church (1924 W. 63rd St., Chicago). Visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Service at 11:00 a.m. In the afternoon following the funeral service on March 10th, there will be a repast with remembrances, speeches, and sharing at Blue Chicago, 736 N. Clark, starting at 3:00 p.m.

Scroll down for some amazing performances in Milwaukee. But there are great bands coming to Buddy Guys (Chicago) in the upcoming months. Their site gives 3 months worth of music calendar so you can plan well in advance. Before you wind up your night you may want to stop in at the Kingston Mines where the music rolls on from stage to stage until 4 am. There was a time when we thought that was too early for the night to end! LOL

Vanguard Records celebrates 50 years of blues.

Very exciting news on a personal note, one of the two crashed computers has been restored so my pictures may well be saved. Next week when I get it up and running I will finally see what I have to post.

2-23-06
Been a while since I wrote or updated so today is it. I added new scheduled dates for the Stratatones and posted pics on that page. I also cleaned up the Artist page so it is more easily read.

Mostly I am spending my time learning more HTML and posting more auctions and store listings for my eBay store Jewelry Avon and all that Jazz. Oh and a snow and ice storm kept me in Milwaukee where I managed to get the flu so that wiped out a week of my time.

Amazing vintage Blues Posters on the website from station K H S U - F M 90.5 from Arcata, CA here

As for the Blues around Wisconsin:

The Cedarburg Cultural Center is running their Blues Concert Series again. Eddie Clearwater performed Feb 17.

Well today is Chinese New Years Day in the year 4703. The Year of the Fire Dog. I finally updated the local blues links and added a page for my friend Rick Holmes with his band's the Stratatones' schedule on it.

I am currently trying to sort out my digital pictures, since I crashed 2 computers between October and January. Not sure I have what I need to get the other picture pages up but at least 2003 is there. I have some stashed here and there online but it will take me time to organize that.

And of course I forgot my camera when we went out last week to hear the Stratatones at Mr. Miyagi's but Ramblin' Rosie said she would send me some from her camera.

Also sad to say I missed the Howard and the White Boys gig at 6 Points. It's been far too long since I have seen them. Ok getting up to switch CD's now and guess who I am going to load into the system? BRB Now they are playing so I can ramble on about what happened to their website. It has moved to Howard and the White Boys which will be the very next thing I change.

HAPPY NEW YEAR and I hope it is a healthy and prosperous one for you all. Once again another year has slipped quickly by and the latest here is the addition of the holiday pages. Most of my attention lately has gone to my new webstore on eBay Jewelry Avon and all that Jazz which features New Sterling Silver and Vintage Jewelry, Vintage Avon, Gifts and Collectibles.
